Chatham County seeks members for the Recreation Advisory Committee

Pittsboro, NC - Chatham County seeks applicants for two vacant positions on the county’s Recreation Advisory Committee. The committee advises the Board of Commissioners and staff on recreation programs and county-owned park facilities.

The committee has 11 members, including two from each of the five county commissioner districts. The two committee vacancies are for commissioner districts four and five in the western part of the county. To see the commissioner district maps, click here.

Both vacancies will have initial terms that end on June 30, 2014. After the initial term, the members will be eligible for reappointment for a second term of three years.

Those interested in serving on the Recreation Advisory Committee should submit an official application form by Sept. 30, 2011 at 5 pm.
