The Appearance Commission establishes and oversees programs to enhance the appearance of the county. The Commission's vacancies are for County Commissioner District 2 and District 3, but even those living in other areas should apply. District 2 covers a large area in southeastern Chatham and much of the Pittsboro area. District 3 covers the central part of the county from north to south.
