Students from Chatham Central compete in DECA conference

Twenty-three students from Chatham Central High School recently competed in the DECA State Career Development Conference in Greensboro and received a proficiency pin for their hard work.

Winners include:

Heather Hancock and Victoria Edwards for Apparel & Accessories
Cory Cockman for Employability Skills
Jenna Stout for Food Marketing
Kailyn Andrews and Elliot Goldman for Full Service Restaurant Management
Peyman Gharghani for Vehicles & Petroleum
Brittany Poe and Whitney Wicker for Hospitality Services Management

Cory Cockman scored a top ten finish in the state for Employability Skills in test taking, and both of his role plays earning him three medals. Additionally, Cory finished sixth in the state overall earning him a spot for the International Career Development Conference in Anahiem, California.
