Pittsboro, NC - Project Graduation, the all night alcohol, tobacco and other drug free event co-sponsored by Chatham County Schools and the Chatham Community for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth, is kicking off tonight. The event, in its 19th year, will begin at 11:00 PM and end at 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 14.

Project Graduation is an all-night, drug- and alcohol-free party for graduating seniors and their guests. This party is a special way for seniors, on such an exciting evening, to celebrate "their way" safely.

Seniors will enjoy an evening of music, prizes, games and food galore! A DJ will provide a variety of music and floor games. An assortment of food, including pizza, finger foods and plenty of junk food is furnished all night long. Additional games will give seniors more prize-winning chances. Other entertainment will include a silly photo booth and an inflatable game called the Scramble Slide. Prizes will range from $50-$100 throughout the evening. In addition to cash prizes, merchandise such as TVs, CD players, cameras and more will be given away. The donations for prizes have been so generous that few seniors will leave without one. The grand finale of Project Graduation is three $2,000 prizes, which are given away at 6:00 a.m. Seniors must be present to win.

Senior parents organize this event.
