Pittsboro, NC - Pittsboro Elementary School kicked off its yearly Relay for Life fundraisers with the "hearts fundraiser" from February 4-14. Each heart cost $1. A person could make a purchase in honor of or in memory of loved ones or friends. Over $250 was raised through this fundraiser by Pittsboro Elementary students, staff, and families. All money raised through this fundraiser will go to the Pittsboro Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society.
The next fundraiser at Pittsboro Elementary will be the "ACC fundraiser" in March in which money is donated to vote which local ACC team is the most popular. The team with the most money at the end of that week will be the most popular for this year
