Perry Harrison School PTSA hosts 5K race

Pittsboro, NC - On Saturday, June 2, the Perry Harrison School PTSA hosted a 5K race and 1 mile fun run called "Run for the Mariners." About 50 runners participated in the event. Winners took home gift certificates for free car washes at Carolina Car Wash and free movies at the Lumina Theater. Furthermore, 5K and 1 mile run participants won gift certificates to Pazzo, The Carolina Brewery, S&T Soda Shoppe, Village Pizza, and Big Dawgs Grill. Snacks were provided by Harris Teeter. All proceeds from the event will benefit the PHS PTSA, specifically to help fund an outdoor water fountain on the playground behind the school.
