Pittsboro, NC - On Saturday, February 2, three Northwood High School students competed in various competitive events at the 2008 FBLA Triad Region Competitive Events at Eastern Randolph High School.
Freshman Chelsea Campbell earned second place honors in Word Processing I while sophomore Cameron Russell placed first place in Accounting I.
Both students are active members of FBLA and of the business department at Northwood. In addition to their involvement in the CTE department both young ladies are very active academically and athletically throughout the school year at Northwood.
Both of these students will be joined by three other fellow Northwood FBLA members at the state competition which is held annually at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC in April. Senior Miranda Jones will be competing at the state level in Accounting II, while Alex Ross will be competing in Website Development. Freshman Chelsea Gardner will finish out this fine group to compete in Impromptu Speaking.
“Each of these students have far exceeded any expectations at Northwood and in FBLA, and we wish them the best of luck as they embark on their journey to nationals in Atlanta, Georgia this summer,” said Megan Johnson, club advisor.
