Raleigh, NC - The North Carolina School Report Cards will be launched on Tuesday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m. The School Report Cards contain data on each public school and school district in the state of North Carolina. In addition to a profile, each Report Card contains information about high student performance; safe, orderly and caring schools; and quality teachers. The School Report Cards are a requirement of the federal No Child Left Behind Act.

The families of public school students receive a copy of the School Report Card Snapshot for their child(ren)'s school(s). These are available in English and Spanish. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) website will have a link to the School Report Cards for each school year from 2001-2002 through 2005-2006. The site contains PDF versions of the Snapshot for each school and school district. A state School Report Card is posted on the NCDPI site as well.
