Moncure, NC - The Moncure School PTA held its first "Girl's Night Out" event on Friday, February 9 in the Moncure cafeteria. The event was an evening for all Moncure female students to come and enjoy an evening of fun food, charades and prizes with their mothers, grandmothers, and/or female guardians.

The PTA asked the parents/guardians to attend the "Girl's Night Out" to provide role models and mentors to female students at Moncure. The PTA also wanted to express its appreciation for those females being involved in their child's education.

Just knowing that there are ladies out in our community that care about each and every child at Moncure makes a huge difference in the lives of our children. Moncure School PTA would like to thank everyone who came out to our first "Girl's Night Out" event,” said Ann Godwin, Moncure PTA President.

The next event to be sponsored by the Moncure PTA will be a spring musical in April.
