Goldston, NC - For the past month, the students, faculty and staff at J.S. Waters School have been participating against schools across the country in the Keep America Beautiful Recycle Bowl. (http://recycle-bowl.org/)
Beginning on October 15th and ending on November 9th, the students, faculty, and staff collected and weighed all the material they recycled. These items included paper, plastic bottles, cardboard, and cans. Overall, J.S. Waters recycled 777 pounds of material during the month-long contest. This worked out to an average of 2.4 pound of material per student.
Results of the contest will not be known until a later date, but the students, faculty and staff at J.S. Waters will continue their recycling efforts.
