Siler City, NC - Athletics at Jordan-Matthews High School are benefitting this fall from a community partnership with a local business.

The local Aaron’s store in Siler City, which is a retailer of furniture, electronics, home appliances and accessories, is donating a 32-inch LCD television for the Jordan-Matthews Athletic Booster Club raffles at home varsity football games this season. Aaron’s is also donating a television for the coaching staff to view game film.

Nicholas Putman, general manager of the Siler City Aaron’s, explained that the donation is part of its community outreach and expressed an interest in looking for other ways to partner with the school.

“Aaron’s has demonstrated the type of commitment to the community school that Siler City is famous for. We here at JM feel blessed to be so supported by our local businesses,” said principal Martin McDonald.

“We really appreciate the Aaron’s donations. One hundred percent of the raffle money goes to the athletic department. Having a business take interest in JM is awesome,” commented athletic director Sandy Morse.
