Pittsboro, NC - Esther Lederman visited Margaret B. Pollard Middle School sixth graders on Wednesday, March 23. Lederman spoke about her experience hiding from the Nazis during World War II. She explained to the children how she received false identification papers, hid in the forest for a few nights, and hid in an attic for twenty months with the Lederman family.

The final hideout was in an underground cellar where they were finally found by the Russian soldiers and their nightmare was over. Mrs. Lederman went on to marry Ezjel Lederman whose family helped her through the ordeal.
