Chatham county students attend Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference

Greensboro, NC - Jordan-Matthews High School and Northwood High School joined together to attend the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference held in Greensboro, NC April 14-16. The students were under the leadership of the following advisors: Lerah Brooks and Patrick Bass, from Jordan-Matthews and Jane Pendergrast and Rick Parks, from Northwood. Both Schools were well represented.

Jordan-Matthews students placed in the following categories:

Chantal Mosely: Top 10 in Accounting I
Maria Martinez: Top 15 in Marketing
Kendall Stone, Traci Newby and Olivia Aguila: 2nd Place in Website Design, they will be representing Jordan-Matthews at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, June 28-July 1.

John Fraser and Clark Streets, placed second in Emerging Business Issues and will also attend the National Leadership Conference in Florida.

The Northwood chapter received a state award for increasing membership for the 2010-2011 school year.

Students receiving placement medals are Chantal Mosely, Maria Martinez, Olivia Aguila, Traci Newby, Clark Streets, John Fraser and Kendall Stone.
