High Schools announce important dates for students

Chatham County, NC - The three high schools in Chatham County Schools have planned summer dates for students to handle details to prepare them for the beginning of the 2005-2006 school year. High school students will be able to pick up their daily class schedules prior to the first student day of school which is Thursday, August 25.

Chatham Central High School has allotted seniors time on Thursday, August 4, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to pick up their class schedules and purchase parking stickers. Students will need their driver's license and vehicle license plate number in order to complete the parking sticker process. Senior picture day will also be on August 4. Juniors will be able to pick up their schedules on Thursday, August 11, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sophomores can pick up their schedules on Monday, August 15, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Like seniors, juniors and sophomores can purchase parking stickers at the same time they pick up their class schedules. Freshmen can pick up their schedules at the school on Tuesday, August 16, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Any Chatham Central students who are unable to come and get their schedules during the above assigned times can come on Wednesday, August 17, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or on Thursday, August 18, from 2:00-4:00 pm. to do so.

Jordan Matthews High School will begin with senior schedule pickup on Wednesday, August 10, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Juniors can pick up their schedules after seniors on Wednesday, August 10, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Sophomores can pick up their schedules on Thursday, August 11, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Freshmen can pick up their schedules Friday, August 12, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Northwood High School will mail class schedules to students' homes. Any student who does not receive his or her schedule via regular mail by August 23 can come to Northwood and pick up a class schedule. These students can pick up schedules on August 23 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Staff will be available to distribute schedules on August 24 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Students are strongly encouraged to immediately update any address changes with the school by calling 919.542-5877. The school already has addresses for freshmen coming from Chatham County feeder schools.
