Orlando, FL - Students from Jordan-Matthews High School and Northwood High School were among the 15,000 who attended the DECA International Career Development Conferences in Orlando, Florida held April 30 through May 3. DECA is an international association of marketing students.

“Having competing at the national level myself in 1998, I can attest to it being a fantastic experience. For me it led to a college degree and even more success by leading these great students to achieve their dreams. This is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. There is nothing like seeing them win, but also experience competing with other great students that push them to be better. They all become more confident in their ability. That leads to more success in college and continues into the workplace,” explained Luke Nicks, Jordan-Matthews marketing teacher and DECA advisor.

The following students from Jordan-Matthews competed:

Cody Jeffey competed in the Entrepreneurship Participating Event and earned a top 10 overall finish.
