Chatham County students partipate in Duke TIP

Chatham County, NC - The Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) has completed another successful season. Several seventh grade students from Chatham County Schools participated. These students completed either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Assessment college entrance examination while in middle school. They are:

Bennett - Margot de St. Aubin, Samantha Langley
Bonlee - Justin Johnson
Chatham Middle - Avery Johnson
Harrison - Anna Cleaver, Michael Galin, Stephen Stark, Christopher Hurlman, Whitney Sharp, Laura Sturdivant
Horton - Emily Kerscher
J. S. Waters - Maverick Gunter
Moncure - Benjamin Hobbs, Weston Greene, Joshua Lorbacher, Michael Mougios
North Chatham - Brooke McKenna, Claire Pauley, Katelyn Kolls, Daniel Miller
Silk Hope - Rachel Daniel, Joel McMath, Alexandra Smith, Christi Spivey

Brooke McKenna, Claire Pauley, Benjamin Hobbs, Anna Cleaver, Michael Galin, and Stephen Stark qualified for State Recognition. They scored at or above the national average on at least one part of the SAT or ACT.

Duke TIP is dedicated to the cultivation and education of talented youth. The program provides participants with comparative information concerning their academic abilities and resources for unique educational opportunities.
