Bear Creek, NC - The Chatham Central Area Bands will kick off its first fundraising drive on Wednesday, October 26. During this season's drive, volunteers will take orders door-to-door throughout the area for fresh citrus fruit from Florida. The drive themed "Great Fruit For A Good Cause," is expected to raise much-needed funds for our band program and will be conducted for two weeks from October 26 through November 9.

Buyers may choose from grove-fresh Florida navel oranges and grapefruit. Sales are by the carton which includes 64 to 100 oranges or 32 to 48 grapefruit.

The Chatham Central Band Director John Haas said of the new drive, "We expect great success this year with our drive. After all, everyone loves fresh Florida citrus and this great fruit does benefit what we consider a great cause in our community."

For more information about the citrus sale or to place an order, please contact John Haas at (919)837-5491.
