Bonlee, NC - As part of its Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program, Bonlee School has a monthly homeroom competition. Homerooms may earn one point for each day with perfect attendance. An additional point is given for each day without any discipline referrals. Bonus points are also given at the end of the month for homerooms with zero tardies to school.

The custodial staff additionally selects one homeroom from each grade level (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8) to award bonus points for having the cleanest class. Once all the points are tallied, the winning homeroom is treated to a group reward of their choice.

Below is a list of the top performing homerooms. During this month’s session, points were additionally awarded to homerooms submitting correct answers to the daily Black History question broadcast on WBES, the school newscast

Gurley – 42 (Grand Winner)
Baker – 41
Thurman – 41
Tally – 39
Palmer – 38
Adams – 37
King – 36
Dixon – 34
A. Phillips – 34

T. Phillips – 33

The Bonlee custodial staff also recognized the following classes as the cleanest for February (with their bonus points being factored into the final totals):

K-2 – Tally
3-5 – Baker
6-8 – Gurley

“We have had another great month of competition. Students and staff continue to take pride in being ‘Ready S.E.T. Go’ to be at school and to do their absolute best,” noted Daniel Haithcox, Principal.
