Bennett, NC - In celebration of Black History Month, the sixth grade class at Bennett School presented a musical program about jazz on Friday, February 25.

The students performed five musical selections written by Teresa Jennings. Two of their favorite songs were entitled To Swing or Not to Swing and Ode to Jazzers. They also presented information about several jazz artists such as Louis Armstrong , Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.

"The program was enjoyed by the entire school and was a fitting conclusion to their study about jazz," commented music teacher Lisa Johnson.
