Administrative changes in Chatham County schools

Pittsboro, NC - Chatham County Schools has had several recent administrative changes in various areas of the school district. Some individuals are new to the district while others are employees who have moved into new roles.
There are five schools with new principals in the 2009-10 school year. They are:
- Bonlee School – Daniel Haithcox moved from principal of SAGE Academy to Bonlee.
- Chatham Middle – Tracy Fowler moved from principal of Bonlee to Chatham Middle.
- Perry Harrison – Janice Frazier moved from principal of Silk Hope to Harrison.
- SAGE Academy – Kim Taylor moved from assistant principal at Virginia Cross Elementary to SAGE.
- Silk Hope – Chad Morgan moved from assistant principal to principal at Silk Hope.
The central office has had six recent changes. They are:
- Marjorie Barber, a new hire as Director of Exceptional Children
- Bobby Dixon, moving from being an assistant principal at Northwood High School to the position of Compliance Officer for the district.
- Kelli Hulsey, a new hire as Director of Accountability and NC WISE
- Carrie Little, moving from Compliance Officer to Director of Elementary and Middle Grades Education
- Joel Caviness, named Transportation Director after serving as Interim Transportation Director
- Debbie McKenzie, named Child Nutrition Director after having the position of Child Nutrition Manager.
