Chatham County, NC - On Tuesday, February 6th, the 100th Day of School was celebrated in schools across the county with many learning experiences and activities.

Over one hundred and sixty Siler City first graders and their teachers met on the basketball court for their annual photo. Over the intercom at Siler City Elementary, Principal Angie Brady-Andrew led the school in a variety of exercises that totaled 100. During the pushup portion, Principal Brady-Andrew said, "Feel the Burn!" and encouraged staff to be good role models during this fitness session.

Silk Hope kindergarten classes hung posters in the hall celebrating the 100 Day of School. They made and colored hats to wear on this special day. Kindergartners brought 100 identical items from home to use in counting exercises that support the math curriculum. Mrs. Kim Fuquay's class sang two 100 Day songs during the morning announcements.
