Pittsboro, NC - Driving North Carolina's highways and glancing at license plates, one can identify what organization or "cause" the driver takes pride in. Sports teams, historic locations, and even commodity groups have their own specialty license plate. Now is your chance to own a 4-H specialty license plate and help North Carolina 4-H "Drive Into the Future!"
The Division of Motor Vehicles has been authorized to create a 4-H specialty license plate. Proceeds from these plates will be used to help 4-H camps as well as county and state 4-H programs. The Division of Motor Vehicles will not issue these special license plates until 300 people have pre-registered through the North Carolina 4-H Development Fund.
Getting those first 300 applications and fees is vital. To obtain an application for this specialty plate, please contact Sarah Kotzian, Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development at the Chatham County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service at 919-542-8202 or by email at sarah_kotzian@ncsu.edu.
All funds generated through the 4-H specialty license plate program will support 4-H camps, county 4-H programs, and the NC 4-H Development Fund.
The deadline for having your plate ordered is April 1st, so act quickly!
Chatham County 4-H is part of the Chatham County Center of the Cooperative Extension Service and is a participating United Way Agency.
