Winners honored at the 6th Annual RTPnet Conference

Chapel Hill - It's not too late to nominate an individual, community organization or business for a 2005 Community Technology Award. The awards recognize individuals, organizations and businesses that have made significant contributions to North Carolina communities in the area of information and computer technology. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, April 29, 2005, so send your nominations to us today through our online form at http://www.rtpnet.org/conf/awards_form.htm

The awards will be presented at the 6th Annual RTPnet Conference, a statewide nonprofit technology conference hosted by RTPnet and Triangle United Way. The conference mission is to help nonprofits use technology more effectively. This year's theme is "Bringing Together Volunteers and Technology for Community Development."

More than 100 people are expected to attend the conference, which offers a full day of breakout sessions along three tracks: Technology Volunteer, Technology Infrastructure and Technology Innovation. Our featured speakers represent IBM, Cisco and Network for Good, a national nonprofit organization that connects individuals with their favorite charities. Our partners include the Duke University Certificate in Nonprofit Management and ncyt -- North Carolina's Network of Nonprofit Professionals.
