[Jul. 28, 2005] The nation's largest wireless voice and data network is getting larger in North Carolina. Cingular Wireless plans to invest more than $115 million this year in its North Carolina network increasing coverage and capacity, building new sites, adding portable generators and back-up batteries, and rolling out new data features. Two new sites in Chatham County will expand service locally.

[Dec. 2, 2004] To meet increased demand for wireless service in the Raleigh area, Cingular Wireless today announced the addition of 17 new cell sites this month enhancing wireless coverage in Raleigh and throughout Eastern N.C. In December, Cingular is boosting wireless coverage on U.S. Highway 421 just south of Siler City.
