Siler City, NC - The Siler City Retail Merchants Association (SCRMA) has come together to begin building the organization necessary to complete its mission of attracting business to the merchants of the town. The group has named Pat Dawson, proprietor of Paperbacks Plus, a bookstore in downtown Siler City, as its President, and begun taking steps to create the environment necessary for retail business to thrive and prosper.

“We have a long way to go with this project,” Ms Dawson said, “but the commitment is there in everyone involved. This is a necessary step for the future of our community, and we are determined to make it succeed.”

SCRMA has retained the marketing firm of Convey Ink to handle brand development, press, advertising, and publicity for its efforts. The initial campaign will focus on bringing the local area back to shopping in town, using the slogan: See what you’ve been missing! Shop Siler City This will soon begin appearing in print advertising and cable television spots throughout Chatham County.
