Pittsboro, NC- The Chatham Mills Farmers Market hosts its first farmers' market of the season Saturday morning April 16 at Pittsboro's historic mill. The market boasts a wide variety of local agricultural products including meats, fresh produce, cheeses, flowers, baked goods and artisan crafts. The market will run from 8am to noon weekly from April 16 through November 19 at 480 Hillsboro St in Pittsboro.

Offerings at this year's market include fresh and aged cheeses, pastured chicken, lamb, goat, pork and beef, gluten-free baked goods and a variety of fresh fruit and produce. The market will host over 25 vendors including several area favorites, such as pastured beef and pork producer Cohen Farm, Doug Jones' Piedmont Biofarm, and Hillsboro Cheese Company who make aged and fresh cheese from local goat and cow's milk.

This year's season will include chef's demonstrations, kid's days and other farm and food related special events during the farmers market.
