Pittsboro, NC — First Citizens Bank will open a new 3,000-square-foot financial center on Monday, Feb. 11, in the Chatham Downs shopping complex near the Harris-Teeter supermarket at the corner of U.S. 15-501 and Lystra Road.
The new Chatham Downs office is a significant addition to the bank’s facilities in the Triangle and demonstrates First Citizens’ commitment to its customers and the community, according to Area Executive Chris Young, who oversees the bank’s operations in Chatham, Orange, Durham and Wake counties.
“Northern Chatham County is a great area for our company, especially with our focus on individuals, small businesses, medical practitioners and other professionals,” Young said. “This new office, conveniently located along the growing 15-501 corridor, will allow us to extend our branch network and focus on building long-term relationships with our customers.”
The branch is constructed in a Georgian-influenced classical style with brick exterior and stucco accents — a signature architectural design used consistently by First Citizens throughout its markets. The financial center will include three drive-through lanes and a drive-up ATM lane. The lobby and drive-through lanes are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday. Lisa Woodard will serve as branch manager.
The new office is located between the bank’s Pittsboro office at 24 Hanks Street and its Chapel Hill office at 1650 E. Franklin St. and Elliot Road.
The full-service branch will offer a complete line of financial services: deposit accounts, loans, leasing as well as trust, insurance and wealth management services. Headquartered in Raleigh, First Citizens Bank has 31 locations serving the Triangle area.
Founded in 1898, First Citizens operates 340 branches in more than 200 cities and towns in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and Maryland. The bank is a major subsidiary of First Citizens BancShares Inc. (Nasdaq: FCNCA), which has $16.2 billion in assets.
