[May 10, 2007] Quadrant Properties, LLC has announced plans to renovate the historic Cooper-Ford building located on Hillsboro Street in the heart of downtown Pittsboro. The circa 1919 building has been vacant for years. They plan to refurbish the 9200 square foot space to accommodate retail establishments and executive office suites.

[Jan. 17, 2007] Pittsboro residents created their own customized coffee beverages at the community’s first Starbucks store, which opened its doors at 141 Chatham Downs Drive on January 5. On January 4, the new store welcomed customers with complimentary coffee as well as samples of specialty espresso beverages and delicious pastries.

I am, of course, speaking of the shock and horror I felt upon realizing that some people do not know that the most wonderful used book store in the two cities (and also the only one) does in fact exist.
