Pittsboro, NC - The Fearrington House Restaurant is honored to have been voted by the diners of OpenTable as one of the nation's 100 best overall restaurants for 2011. The list of winners is derived from more than 10 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Said The Fearrington House's General Manager Theresa Chiettini: "We're thrilled not only to have been voted a top 100 restaurant by OpenTable but to be joined by three other local properties. I think the breadth of exceptional restaurants in the Raleigh/Durham area will surprise many who haven't been here before." North Carolina tied the dining mecca of California with ten winning restaurants, almost twice as many as any other Southern state.

"The restaurants on this list are wonderfully varied, but they have one overwhelming quality in common -- each establishment is taking every opportunity to deliver a superb dining experience," says Caroline Potter, OpenTable's Chief Dining Officer. "Quality and consistency in the food, service and setting are the hallmarks of the very best restaurants, and all three elements can be found in abundance by diners visiting any of these honorees."

Based on feedback collected from OpenTable diners between December 2010 and November 2011, the following 100 restaurants, listed in alphabetical order, received the highest scores from OpenTable diners for being the best overall restaurants in the U.S.
