Chatham Economic Development Corporation seeks new board members

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham Economic Development Corporation (EDC) seeks applicants to serve on its Board of Directors. The EDC is a private, non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote job creation and private capital investment in Chatham County.

The members of the commission will be selected for their business knowledge and interest in economic development issues. The EDC seeks to expand board diversity in terms of geography, race, ethnicity, age, gender and expertise.

By March 8, 2013, applicants are required to complete an application, which is available on the EDC website. At that webpage, interested applicants also may view or download “Expectations of Board Members,” which details the time commitment involved and other details related to serving as an EDC board member.
