Pittsboro, NC - Quadrant Properties, LLC has announced plans to renovate the historic Cooper-Ford building located on Hillsboro Street in the heart of downtown Pittsboro. The circa 1919 building has been vacant for years. They plan to refurbish the 9200 square foot space to accommodate retail establishments and executive office suites with the help of Clearscapes, a multi-disciplinary design firm based in Raleigh, NC.

Cooper-Ford Building

Several of the Quadrant investors have worked in Pittsboro for years and credit Pittsboro's artistic charm and eco-friendly growth as a decision point in their purchase of the building. The partners plan to retain the historic feel of the building while greatly improving the energy efficiency. Renovation work began on Monday as items were removed from the building.

The investment group aims to attract a retail establishment that will be a valuable addition to the antique stores, specialty shops, and great restaurants already enlivening Pittsboro's downtown. They plan to have executive offices available on the top floor with 1 or 2 retail stores on the bottom floor. The commercial space will be available for potential leasers in the fall of 2007.
