Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham Economic Development Corporation’s board of directors elected new officers for its current fiscal year. Chris Ehrenfeld, a Chatham County real estate developer and entrepreneur, will serve as the board’s chair.
A Pittsburgh native, Ehrenfeld owns Domicile Realty, Governors Club Realty, Bold Construction and several other Chatham County businesses, and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. In addition to his involvement with the Chatham EDC, Ehrenfeld is currently on the boards for the Chatham Education Foundation and the Central Carolina Community College Foundation.
Also joining the board as officers are Rachel Burton, founder of Micronodal Energy, who will serve as vice chair; Twig Wood, president of Brookwood Farms in Siler City, who will serve as secretary; and, Doug Emmons, a former director in information technology, who will serve as treasurer.
With the resignation of Keith Hurand and Joe Glasson, the Chatham EDC board has three vacancies. A fourth member will rotate off in December. Recruitment of new members will begin in early August.
