Chatham Economic Development Corp launches enhanced website

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) announces the launch of its newly enhanced and redesigned website at www.chathamedc.org. The site redesign incorporates the EDC’s recent rebranding campaign and a new business resource, Chatham Prospector, a web-based GIS mapping and marketing tool for commercial building and sites.

The EDC worked with Andrea Burton Webdesigns to integrate existing and new content into one streamlined, user-friendly site with up-to-date information about:

• Chatham County’s quality of life
• The local business climate
• Business resources for locating, expanding, or starting up in Chatham County

The EDC’s new website allows Chatham residents and clients to connect with the EDC through social networking tools, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Flickr. In addition, users can sign up for e-notices for upcoming EDC events, a quarterly e-newsletter, and access an online calendar for public meetings and special events to stay connected with economic development in Chatham County.

EDC President Dianne Reid says, “The primary mission of the redesign has been to raise the profile of economic and business development in Chatham County by revamping the website as a modern professional, informative, and user-friendly resource,.”

Reid added that the enhanced website is a foundation for promoting the EDC as a "one-stop shop" for local business assistance and economic development, “while showcasing Chatham County as a great place to live and as a strategic place to do business in North Carolina's Triangle and Piedmont regions.”
