Siler City, NC — After 25 years in Siler City, Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc. (CAD), an engineering company focused on IT infrastructure, management and security solutions, today announced their move to Cary to further develop their successful business. June 1, 2009, will mark the company’s first day at 133 Triangle Trade Drive, near the intersection of NW Maynard Road and James Jackson Avenue.

Co-founders John and Susan Jabbusch recognized the need to relocate closer to Raleigh in the coming years, but the company’s rapid growth and recent changes in ownership of their current building called for a sudden adjustment to their timeline.

“We can do our work from most anywhere in the United States, which is why we have stayed in Siler City for so long,” said Susan Jabbusch, vice president and chief operating officer. “But given these latest changes and the present real estate market, now was the most opportune time for the move.”

Maximizing a growing business
Carolina Advanced Digital provides enterprise-class IT solutions, products and training for government, education and corporate customers across the United States. The company’s revenue has grown 975 percent over the past five years and their number of employees has doubled since October 2008. “Our revenue has already grown 40 percent since last year,” said John Jabbusch, president and chief engineer. “This move toward Research Triangle Park allows us to be even more competitive with other local businesses.”

Minimizing the commute
A majority of Carolina Advanced Digital’s staff currently commutes to Siler City from Raleigh, Cary and Apex-another significant motivation in the company’s decision to move. Not only will this relocation cut down on commuter travel, but also offer more convenient access to Raleigh-Durham International Airport and nearby hotels for out-of-town guests.

In addition to the Cary headquarters, Carolina Advanced Digital will maintain a Siler City location, though the nature and location of which have not yet been determined.
