Pittsboro - Biolex, a developer and manufacturer of protein therapeutics, has hired a veteran finance executive to be its chief financial officer.
Dale Sander comes to Biolex from Maxim Pharmaceuticals where he served as CFO and vice president of corporate development. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field.
"Dale has demonstrated significant skill in leading life science companies through periods of substantial growth and change, making him a great fit with the challenges and opportunities now facing Biolex," said Jan Turek, president and chief executive officer of Biolex, in a statement. "He is joining us at a key time as we continue to expand our pharmaceutical partnerships and begin clinical trials.”
Sander has held CFO positions at two other firms - Xytronyx, a biotech company, and Tactyl Technologies, a medical device manufacturer.
