Bynum, NC - Bynum Front Porch (BFP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping the spirit of Bynum alive, is looking for new board members for two-year terms, starting in January 2014. We are also looking for community volunteers for our various committees.
BFP is a dynamic organization focused on building and preserving community in Bynum and Chatham County. Our work ranges from providing college scholarships for Chatham teens to supporting the local Girl Scout troop. We partner regularly with local cultural, religious, and civic organizations—such as Chatham Arts, Bynum Methodist Church, Bynum Ruritan Club, Bynum Community Garden, and the Haw River Assembly—to support the local community. In addition, BFP coordinates the summer music series at the Bynum General Store and facilitates community-use of the store; it also hosts several signature events throughout the year.
Bynum Front Porch owes much its success to its board members, committee members, and volunteers. If you are interested in serving on the board, please complete the survey here by October 8. If you are interested only in serving on a committee, please just fill out questions four and five.
For those interested, we will have open board meetings in October to learn more and meet the rest of the group.
If you have any questions, please contact board chair Erik Kristiansen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
