Two Chatham County high school students recently were selected to participate in the 2004 Central District All-District Band.
Jamie Dorsett from Jordan-Matthews and Mariana Poole from Northwood will represent Chatham County in the ensemble event.
Dorsett is a junior clarinetist in the Jordan-Matthews band program. Poole, a sophomore, earned top honors at the district level. Poole's audition won her first chair in the all-district wind ensemble. She topped all challengers including juniors and seniors.
The district band clinic was held this past weekend in Burlington.
