Fearrington Village will host the Second Annual Fearrington Folk Art Festival on February 21st and 22nd, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Experience a rare opportunity to meet and purchase art from over 30 of the Southeast's finest folk artists.

Browse the vast selection of art and meet the guest artists including Sam "The Dot Man" McMillan, Peter Loose, Benny Carter, Tom Blunt, Riley Foster, Rocky Wade, Chris Hubbard, and Clyde Jones. Paintings, paper-maiche objects, garden art, sculptures, furniture, and ornaments will be exhibited and sold at the show. All proceeds from the art show will benefit the artists directly.

Local musician Captain Luke will perform at the show with his interpretations of classic R&B, sentimental and country blues in his rich, dry baritone. A donation will be made to the Music Maker Relief Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the true pioneers and forgotten heroes of Southern musical traditions gain recognition and meet day to day needs. Music Makers Books and CD's will be on sale at the show.

The Folk Art Show is free and open to the public.

Please call 919-545-5704 for further information.
