2005 Chatham Studio Tour New & Returning Artists Show

Pittsboro, NC - The Chatham Artists Guild, in partnership with The Friends of the Pittsboro Memorial Library, is pleased to introduce 10 new juried artists and feature 6 returning artists to the Chatham Studio Tour. Their art work will be displayed in the Reeves auditorium, at the Library in November - December, 2005 with photographs of the new artists by John Shillito. The Gallery is open during regular library hours

The Chatham Open Studio Tour, known for its excellent standards and artistic diversity, will be held the 1st and 2nd weekends in Dec. Visitors travel to the studios of the exhibiting artists scattered throughout Chatham County and view their work and learn about the artistic process. This years dates are December 3, 4; 10, 11.

This well respected, annual celebration of the arts is designed to introduce art patrons not only to the work of talented artists, but also to the space in which it is created. Brochures with maps and examples of art work are available at many locations throughout the county and can viewed online at www.chathamstudiotour.com All Tour events are free.

Returning Artists are:

Marty Broda, Gaia Sticks
Louise Hobbs, Raku Figures
Katherine Ladd, Floorcloths & Furniture
Sonia Landwehr, Ceramic sculptures, Drawings & Flowers
Eddie White, Metal Sculpture

Works of each of all 58 Studio Tour artists will be available for preview at the following upcoming events:
Chatham Studio Tour Preview Exhibit, Center Gallery at the ArtsCenter, Carrboro, November 15-December 11.
The Studio Tour Opening Reception at Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) Gallery, Pittsboro Campus, Friday, December 2, 2005- 7pm to 9pm. The community is invited to vote for the "People's Choice" Award
