Northwood students create sculpture inspired by The Secret Life of Bees
[Jan. 5, 2004] The Pittsboro Memorial Library currently houses an exceptional sculpture titled, "With Sweet and Bitter Herbs. Joy Will Come in the Morning". The sculpture was assembled from tiles created by Northwood High School Art II students and their teacher Leslie Burwell and students from Mr. Thibault's SKIP class. Inspiration came from the Friends of the Pittsboro Memorial Library, Community Read book The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. By Brad Kosiba
