Pittsboro, NC - Sunday March 9th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. will be a celebration of the good works of Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services and ChathamArts, with an afternoon of culinary arts, live music, poetry, and an exciting art auction. Established and emerging artists from all around the area have donated works to be auctioned at the barn in historic Fearrington Village.

Many well known visual artists of the Chatham Artists Guild will be featured at the auction. “Several of our artists are delighted to participate in this event in support of two critical organizations for our community,” stressed Forrest Greenslade, Chatham Artists Guild President. FVRC provides 24-hour crisis intervention, court advocacy, shelter and counseling services to Chatham County families. ChathamArts, the Arts Council of Chatham County, presents and provides funding for arts programs and events all across our county.

The Chatham Artists Guild is a non-profit organization of regionally and nationally recognized visual artists. Each year, Guild members open their studios to the public through the Chatham Open Studio Tour. Visitors travel throughout lovely rural Chatham County to meet artists in their own work spaces, and share their ideas on art and the creative process.
