North Carolina Announces Fastest Tar Heel On Campus Contest at Football Spring Game

University of North Carolina students are invited to compete in a 40-yard dash to determine the "Fastest Tar Heel On Campus" during Carolina's nationally televised ESPN Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 10 at 3 p.m. Six finalists (three male, three female) will race against some of the fastest Carolina varsity student-athletes at halftime of the Spring Game. Linebacker Zach Brown, who earlier this semester set the school record in the indoor 60-meter dash, is tentatively scheduled to represent the football team.

But before the season unfolds, the Tar Heels have work to do this spring. They must replace two starters on the defensive line, rework the offensive line and improve their special teams play.
